Olibanum Oil Boswellia serrata oil Frankincense

1)Essential oil: The oil is suitable for soap and perfumery industry. The essential oil present in the oleo gumresin is capable of covering up the smell of methylated sprit, white sprit, etc. and when added in large quantity the smell of nitrobenzene can also be masked. Olibanum may be useful as an additive to hydrocarbons to prevent the corrosive action of sulphur on copper. ( Karnik & Sharma, xxxxx; girgune & garg, J sci res, 1979) .
